In an arrow puzzle every arrow wants to leave the board. Tap one and it slides out in the direction it points, as long as nothing blocks its way. Clear every arrow and the maze is solved.
It sounds easy until the board is packed. These tips come straight from our own playtests of Moon Arrows.
1. Start from the edges
Arrows near the border that point outward can usually leave right away. Clearing them first opens space for the arrows behind them.
2. Follow the path before you tap
Before tapping, trace the line the arrow will travel with your eyes. If anything sits in that line, the arrow will get stuck. A quick look saves a wasted move.
3. Find the blockers
Some arrows are the reason ten others can’t move. Look for an arrow that sits in the path of many others and free it early. One good tap can open half the maze.
4. Work in small areas
Big boards feel overwhelming. Split the maze into corners and solve one corner at a time. You’ll see the patterns much faster.
5. Don’t tap twice by accident
Most mistakes happen when you tap quickly and hit the wrong arrow. Take your time. There is no timer, and the maze will wait for you.
6. Use hints to learn, not to skip
When you’re stuck, a hint shows you the next arrow that can leave. Instead of just tapping it, ask yourself why that arrow was free. Next time you’ll spot it on your own.
